Description

These cafeteria noodles are creamy, buttery, and full of nostalgic flavor! This quick and easy egg noodle dish is the perfect comfort food and pairs well with any meal.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook Noodles in Broth: Bring chicken broth to a boil. Add egg noodles and cook until tender, about 7-10 minutes. Leave ½ cup of broth in the pot.
  • Add Butter & Seasonings: Reduce heat, stir in butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Make It Creamy: Pour in heavy cream, stirring continuously. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes until thick and creamy.
  • Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

✔️ For extra richness, add Parmesan cheese or Worcestershire sauce.
✔️ For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth and plant-based butter.
