Ingredients
  

For the patties
  • 1 pound ground beef Can be substituted with ground turkey or plant-based protein.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Can be replaced with soy sauce for a different flavor.

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
For the casserole
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (prepared) Can be replaced with sweet potatoes for a twist.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Experiment with different cheese types for unique flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until the ingredients are fully integrated.
  3. Form the mixture into patties and arrange them in a greased baking dish.
  4. Pour beef broth over the patties and layer the mixed vegetables atop.
  5. Spread a generous layer of prepared mashed potatoes across the dish.
  6. Top with shredded cheese for an extra creamy finish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the beef is thoroughly cooked and everything is bubbling beautifully.

Notes
