  • 1 tablespoon Black Pepper To taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F or 400°F depending on the cut of chicken.
  2. Prepare the pan: Use a baking dish for 350°F or a baking sheet with a wire rack for 400°F.
  3. Trim excess fat and pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  4. Season the chicken by drizzling with olive oil and sprinkling with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  5. Optional: Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes for deeper flavor.
Baking
  1. Arrange the chicken in a single layer without overcrowding.
  2. For 350°F, bake boneless breasts for 20–30 minutes, bone-in thighs/drumsticks for 40–50 minutes, or whole chicken for 20 minutes per pound, plus 15 minutes.
  3. For 400°F, bake boneless breasts for 18–22 minutes, bone-in thighs/drumsticks for 35–45 minutes, or chicken wings for 20–25 minutes.
  4. At halfway through cooking, rotate the pan for even browning.
  5. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C).
Serving
  1. Let the chicken rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve with sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.

Notes

Experiment with both temperatures to discover your preferred result for different cuts of chicken. Use marinades and seasonings to enhance flavor and be mindful of not crowding the pan.
