Beef Chuck Eye Steak
  • 2 pounds Chuck eye steaks Cut into 1-inch thick steaks
Cooking Fat
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil or butter For grilling or pan-searing

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400–450°F) or heat a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Pat the chuck eye steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Grilling
  1. Place the steak on the grill and cook for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare (internal temperature of 135°F).
  2. Let the steak rest for 5–10 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
Pan-Searing
  1. Add 1–2 tablespoons of oil to the hot skillet.
  2. Place the steaks in the skillet and sear for 3–4 minutes on each side until a crust forms.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add butter and herbs, and baste the steak for additional flavor.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the steak; use a meat thermometer to ensure it is cooked to your desired doneness. Rest the steak after cooking for 5–10 minutes for optimal juiciness. Serve with sides like mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
