Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz Pasta Use your favorite type; whole grain is a great choice.
  • 1 lb Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs Can substitute with a plant-based protein.
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets Fresh is preferred, but frozen can be used.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Adds flavor to the dish.
  • 1 cup Cream or broth For a creamy sauce.
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp Salt To season the chicken.
  • 1 tsp Black pepper To season the chicken.
Optional Toppings
  • Grated cheese For garnishing.
  • Fresh herbs For garnishing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by boiling water and cooking the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Cooking
  1. Heat a pan over medium heat, add a splash of oil, and then the chicken. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned and cooked through.
  2. Toss in the broccoli with minced garlic and any other spices. Stir and cook until the broccoli is bright green and tender.
  3. Add the cooked pasta and a splash of cream or broth to the pan. Stir well to combine all the flavors. Allow everything to simmer together for a few minutes.
Serving
  1. Plate your dish, and feel free to top with cheese or fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave.
