Ingredients

For the Chicken and Pasta
  • 3 pieces Chicken breasts, cut into cubes Feel free to substitute with rotisserie chicken.
  • 1 pound Pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your choice) Use gluten-free pasta if necessary.
  • 1 jar Alfredo sauce (about 15 oz)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 3-4 teaspoons Garlic and herb seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Shredded parmesan cheese For topping.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
For the Bread Bowls
  • 6 pieces Kaiser rolls Or more if needed.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, season the chicken cubes with garlic and herb seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 6-8 minutes, or until cooked through.
  3. In a separate pot, boil salted water and cook your pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  4. Slice the tops off the Kaiser rolls and gently hollow out the centers to create bowls.
  5. Mix melted butter with garlic and herb seasoning. Brush this mixture inside and along the edges of the bread bowls.
  6. Place the bowls in an oven preheated to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 4-5 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
Assembly
  1. In a large bowl, mix the drained pasta and Alfredo sauce with the cooked chicken. Stir well to ensure everything is coated.
  2. Carefully fill each toasted bread bowl with the chicken Alfredo mixture and top with shredded Parmesan.
  3. Return the filled bowls to the oven for another 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
Serving
  1. Enjoy hot, garnished with parsley or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

For added nutrition, feel free to incorporate steamed broccoli or spinach into the chicken Alfredo mixture. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and avoid overcooking pasta.
