Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed butter and sugar.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped strawberries until evenly distributed.
Baking
- Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure there's space for them to spread.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack.
- If desired, drizzle with melted chocolate or sprinkle with toppings before serving.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days. Can be frozen for up to three months.
