  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced) Fresh garlic significantly enhances flavor.
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil For sautéing garlic.
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil (chopped) Add other herbs like parsley or oregano for flavor variations.

Method
 

Cooking Pasta
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Preparing Sauce
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, which should take about a minute.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, adding a pinch of salt and pepper. Allow this mixture to simmer for about five minutes.
  4. Lower the heat, then stir in the heavy cream and mix until the sauce is well blended and creamy.
Combining & Serving
  1. Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce, ensuring every strand is generously coated.
  2. Serve immediately, topped with fresh basil and optionally a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Storing: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze the pasta and sauce separately. Reheat gently, adding a splash of cream to restore consistency. Feel free to customize with additional proteins like grilled chicken or shrimp.
