Preparation
  1. Begin by peeling and dicing the potatoes into even-sized pieces.
Layering
  1. In your crock pot, layer the diced potatoes first at the bottom.

  3. Add the shredded cheese and crumbled bacon on top.
Cooking
  1. Carefully pour the broth over everything, ensuring it covers all the ingredients.
  2. Set your crock pot to low and cook for 7-8 hours or high for about 4 hours until the potatoes are tender.
  3. Once done, stir in the heavy cream, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. For a silkier soup, use an immersion blender to blend until smooth.

Notes
