Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts, diced Use boneless, skinless chicken breasts for best results.
  • 8 ounces bowtie pasta Other pasta shapes can be substituted if preferred.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Unsalted butter is recommended for better control of seasoning.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Low-sodium broth can be used.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated for best flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish Fresh parsley adds a nice touch.

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the bowtie pasta as per the package instructions. Once done, drain it and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant and lightly golden.
Cooking
  1. Add the diced chicken to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until the chicken is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  3. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce becomes creamy.
  4. Toss the cooked bowtie pasta into the skillet, coating each piece with the sauce.
  5. Before serving, sprinkle chopped parsley over the top.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat with a splash of chicken broth if needed.
