Preparation
- Brown the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef (or chosen substitute). Cook until it’s fully browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Add the Taco Seasoning: Mix in the taco seasoning with the cooked meat and follow the packet instructions or homemade recipe. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Mix in Rice: Incorporate the cooked white rice into the meat mixture. Stir gently to ensure even distribution.
- Layer in the Goodies: Add sour cream, nacho cheese sauce, and both kinds of shredded cheese to the mixture. Stir until everything is melted and gooey.
- Assemble Burritos: Take a flour tortilla and place a generous scoop of the mixture on it. Fold the sides in and roll tightly from the bottom up. Repeat for the remaining tortillas.
- Grill to Perfection: Heat butter or oil in a clean skillet over medium heat. Grill the burritos seam-side down for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and toast the other side for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Slice & Serve: Remove from the skillet, slice in half if you like, and enjoy while they’re hot!
Notes
Best served with fresh salsa or guacamole on the side. Wrap leftovers individually in foil or plastic wrap to store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month.
