  • 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or New York strip), cut into 1-inch cubes Choose your favorite cut based on preference or availability.
  • 1 medium zucchini, cut into half-moons
Fats
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Aromatics
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
Seasonings
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Garnish
  • to taste fresh parsley, chopped Optional garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the steak bites dry using paper towels, and generously season them with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Once hot, add the steak bites in a single layer and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side until beautifully browned.
  2. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside temporarily.
  3. Add butter to the skillet, and once it's melted, throw in the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Toss in the zucchini and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it's tender yet crisp.
  5. Return the steak bites to the skillet, and toss everything together to coat with the delicious garlic butter.
  6. Allow everything to heat through for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Best paired with fluffy rice, creamy mashed potatoes, or served over fresh greens. For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
