Method
Preparation
- Generously season both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt and pepper.
- Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Add the steaks to the skillet once the butter is bubbling. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a golden crust forms.
- Flip the steaks using tongs, then add the remaining butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for another 4-5 minutes for a perfect medium-rare.
- Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes on a plate.
Making the Sauce
- Lower the skillet's heat to medium. Add the heavy cream, whisking to combine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom.
- Introduce the grated Parmesan cheese and continue whisking until the sauce thickens, approximately 3-4 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
Plating
- Slice the rested steaks, arrange them on plates, and drizzle the creamy Parmesan sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley for an enticing finish.
Notes
For an elegant presentation, pair with creamy mashed potatoes or a fresh arugula salad. Feel free to experiment with herb-infused butter for added flavor.
