Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 10.5 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 14.5 oz cans green beans, drained
  • 1 1/3 cups French fried onions

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the drained green beans and gently stir until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 2-quart baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and top with French fried onions.
  8. Return to oven and bake for 5 more minutes until topping is golden and crispy.

Notes

Use fresh or frozen green beans for a lower-sodium twist. Add shredded cheddar before baking for extra richness. Drain beef and beans well to prevent sogginess. You can also assemble the dish ahead and bake later. For gluten-free, use GF cream soup and onions.
