Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute for gluten-free flour.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • as needed Cooking spray For air frying.
Coating Ingredients
  • as needed Extra sugar and cinnamon For coating.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a pot, combine the water, unsalted butter, and sugar. Bring to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt until the mixture forms a ball.
  3. Remove from heat and let the dough cool slightly.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Cooking
  1. Transfer the dough to a piping bag and pipe bite-sized pieces onto a parchment-lined air fryer basket.
  2. Lightly spray the churro bites with cooking spray to help achieve that golden-brown finish.
  3. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes or until they turn a beautiful golden color.
Coating
  1. In a separate bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon together.
  2. Toss the warm churro bites in the sugar-cinnamon mixture for that signature flavor.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat by air frying for a few minutes to regain crispiness. Dough can be frozen before frying.
