Ingredients
  

For the shrimp
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or thawed frozen shrimp can be used.
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari for a gluten-free alternative.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For serving
  • Cooked rice or vegetables Serve with steamed rice or your choice of vegetables.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Add the shrimp to the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn a beautiful pink color.
  2. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp, stirring to coat. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Serve hot over steamed rice or alongside your favorite vegetables.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat. You can freeze the dish before adding the sauce for up to 3 months.
