Method
 

Cooking the Soup
  1. In a large pot, brown your choice of ground meat over medium heat until cooked through. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Add the broken lasagna noodles and reduce the heat, letting it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the noodles are tender.
  5. Stir in ricotta cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Serve hot, topped with shredded mozzarella and fresh basil.

Notes
