Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces pork chops
  • 1/2 cup honey Can substitute with maple syrup.
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce Use low-sodium for a healthier option.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch For thickening the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon water To mix with cornstarch.
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. In your slow cooker, mix together the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, and add them to the slow cooker. Toss well to coat the chops in the sauce.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the pork chops are tender.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir this into the slow cooker and let it cook for an additional 30 minutes for the sauce to thicken.
Serving
  1. Serve the pork chops over mashed potatoes, rice, or a fresh salad.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider searing the pork chops before adding to the slow cooker. Add vegetables for extra nutrition or spice things up with chili sauce.
