  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Substitute with tamari for gluten-free option
  • 2 tablespoons honey Can substitute with brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar Can substitute with white wine or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 piece green onion, sliced For garnish
  • to taste sesame seeds For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the chicken pieces. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Pour your prepared sauce over the chicken and let it simmer for a few minutes until it thickens.
Serving
  1. Serve the sticky chicken over the cooked rice and garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for at least 15 minutes before cooking. You can also add vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for extra nutrition.
