Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the cookie mix, softened cream cheese, and egg until a soft dough forms.
- Pour the sanding sugar or non-pareils into a shallow bowl.
- Use a 1½ tablespoon scoop to portion the dough, roll it in sugar or non-pareils, and shape it into smooth balls.
- If the dough feels too sticky, chill it in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes to make it easier to handle.
- Space the cookie balls about 1½ inches apart on the baking sheet.
Baking
- Bake for 8–12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
- Allow them to cool for 3–5 minutes, then gently press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Let the cookies cool completely, or enjoy them warm right out of the oven.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Dough balls can be frozen for up to 3 months. For the best texture, always use room temperature cream cheese.
